The Today is the Day pocket planner looks like those old hardcover books with gold lettered-titles.
Lettering and illustrations are byJessica Hische.
The Art Deco-inspired interior planner pages include full-page typographical illustrations of quotations by Emily Dickinson (“Forever is Composed of Nows”), Emily Bronte (“I’ve dreamt in my life dreams that have stayed with me”), John Gardner, Anthony D’Angelo, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and others.
The spine reminds you to “write every day”, and the back cover exhorts you to make it happen.

Dumbo ExperimentsSo not everything comes out perfectly on the first try. And sometimes not every photo I take I strictly meant for the public’s eyes. So that’s why sometimes I have to experiment. There is a specific shot I want at the Dumbo ride, but currently it is too busy for me to get the shot. I will have to wait until September to take the photo I want. But for now, experimentation. I am not saying I like all these photos or that these are good pictures, I’m just posting some of how I work. I learned a lot from that night and hope it can all come together in the less busy season. I plan to share more of my process in the future! Also say hi to Rob and Amanda. -Zack
Celebrate America is the firework show Disney puts on in the Magic Kingdom every 4th of July. Kait and I did not want to mess with the crowds of Magic Kingdom so we went to the Polynesian and watched the fireworks from there. Hope everyone had a great (and safe) day!
Kait and I the other night decided to go off to Epcot with 2 goals in mind. She was after a specific set of pins and I wanted to take at least one HDR photo that I liked. After spending a couple hours in Epcot, I am happy to say that we both accomplished our goals! She was able to get the remaining pins for her set and I got not one but 3 HDR photos that I liked.
Also on a side note we went to France and got brioche glace (basically a fried ice cream sandwich) and it was about the best thing I ever had. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Asia and Africa! I always forget how great this park is. It is seriously underrated. It is absolutely beautiful and amazingly colorful. I was only at the park for a couple hours and was really only there to take pictures but I had a blast just walking around. But wow was it hot, I am just glad that Animal Kingdom has plenty of shade and water fountains!
Dinoland! There is something about Dinoland that I have always liked. Animal Kingdom has some of the best signs around. I really enjoy the imagineering of Animal Kingdom in general. While walking around I noticed all of the areas where the old Fast Pass machines were and mourned at their “passing”. They no longer are of use since Disney moved to Fast Pass Plus and I guess Disney has not found a use for the areas yet. Hope you enjoy the photos, Asia/Africa photos will be up soon!

Kait is working all day today so I decided to take a quick trip Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It was 95 degrees out when I left so by the time I got there I decided this wouldn’t be a long trip. Not only was it hot but I had to park in Giraffe which is the farthest lot so lots of water was very important. Sadly though eventually I did leave. More photos will be up soon!
